Community Power Network depends on enough people getting together to install solar and say no to retail electricity bills. Say no to soaring retail electricity bills and register your interest below. Once the minimum number of people in your community have registered their interest, we’ll contact you to join.
FOR RESIDENTS
Home Battery Scheme
The South Australian Government’s Home Battery Scheme offers a subsidy of up to $4000 to help with the purchase of solar batteries.
The subsidy is based on the type of household and size of battery, which is measured in kWh. Energy concession holders receive $400/kWh, other households receive $300/kWh. The maximum subsidy for everyone is $4000.
For example:
Install a 6.5kWh battery and receive a subsidy of $2600 (energy concession holder) or $1950.
Install a 9.8kWh battery and receive a subsidy of $3920 (energy concession holder) or $2940.
FOR COMMUNITY GROUPS
Community Solar Grant
Your community group could be eligible for a grant of up to $12,500 for solar and battery through the Australian Government’s Energy Efficient Communities Program.
If your community-owned organisation is an incorporated not-for-profit, it’s eligible to apply for the grant, which can be used for solar panels and/or batteries.
There is no obligation to match the grant amount.
Eligible organisations include:
Kindergartens
Sporting clubs
Community centres
CFS groups
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups
Men’s sheds
CWAs
Scout and Guide groups
… and other incorporated not-for-profits.
